The Drew Democratic Socialists

For our comrades of the future.

About

The Drew Democratic Socialists, also known as “DSOC”, is Drew University’s political club for those interested and passionate about the ideals of modern democratic socialism, which rejects capitalism as unethical and rather emphasizes collective ownership of goods by the public, as well as democracy in the economic sphere.  Started in 2018, Drew Democratic Socialists hosts discussion-based meetings meant to discuss and inform about key principles of democratic socialism, as well as events such as movie screenings and debates with Drew’s other political clubs.  Additionally, the club works in collaboration with outside organizations such as the Democratic Socialists of America and the NJ Industrial Workers of the World advocating for workers’ rights and safe working conditions.

We are an ever-expanding club always happy to have new members!  Meetings are Tuesday nights at 7 p.m. in the Space at the Ehinger Center.  Contact desoc@drew.edu or knotine1@drew.edu to be added to our email list.
